Pincemi et Pincemoi sat in a boat. Pincemi drowned, who remained?
A common game of words adopted by children all over the world.
The rules are clear, the one to whom it is applied answers as if there is nothing to it and gets pinched.
The right answer summons an agreed physical offence of one on the other. The primacy of the appeal doesn't enable not to reply. He who initiates the game directs his game mate to a dead-end path.
A tragic story is presented as a na?ve verbal riddle. "Pincemi et Pincemoi" functions as a disguise for a violent encounter between two children and legitimizes the agreed injury of one by the other.
The Tragic fact that someone drowned is shattered under the wheels of the scenario, the game demands an indifferent attitude to this fact, there is no room for the obvious question: what is the reason for Pincemi sudden and violent death? The tragic event attains no meaning. A dimming of the senses is required in order to realize that the identity of the remained is of no importance, that only a nuance separates their names.
And it seems to me that Pincemi and Pincemoi are one.
Two sides of the same coin which exist in each of us.
And as in the story, we too don't like to be the passive victim, the week, the forgotten, so we too externalize our strong, powerful, aggressive sides.
And Pincemi?
In fact I rather like him.
I can imagine a much nicer world if Pincemi could survive in it.
